My name is Aylsa Williams and I am a Hampshire, UK based artist inspired by the world around me.

I am a biologist turned painter and printmaker and many of my artworks reflect my interest in nature, including plants, animals and the landscape.

Although I love to experiment with media, the work on my website is mostly acrylic based. I utilise printmaking techniques, including monoprinting and lino printing and sometimes combine both printing and painting.

The effect of light on a subject is of particular interest to me and I love to experiment with shadows and light to create my artwork.
